NACER.org exists to address specific conditions, and to promote compassion and relief from suffering, for humans as well as animals. Our primary focus is to reduce animal populations through sterilization; to promote learning and literacy, and the strengthening of communities; and to reduce animal neglect in our target regions though our rescue and adoption activities.
We are a 501(c)(3) Charitable Organization, and are a free-standing entity, not aligned with - nor a branch of - any other existing organization or group.
While we share certain core values with many other groups in the promotion of values of caring and kindness, we consider ourselves to be completely independent of any political or philosophical agendas, we do not generally seek to work against any other organization or group, and do not endorse nor oppose any cause or position of any other group or organization.
It is imperative that we have trust and access in every community we serve, and that we are not seen as adversaries to anyone, if we are to carry our work and our message in the broadest possible way. We feel that we owe to those who would not receive help or support from anyone else, that we maintain our focus and conduct ourselves in a manner which most guarantees our ability to reach them wherever they are.
By becoming partisan with any political group or cause, we might alienate those opposed to such causes - thereby closing doors which may in fact MOST need to be opened.
Further we must not become beholden to other groups causes or viewpoints, and will not accept support from any entity if in so doing we must then publicly endorse their particular political, moral or philosophical position.
As a Charitable Organization we must also be careful not to take on the activities of a Political Action Committee, or otherwise violate our status under IRS Code 501(c)(3)
In specific cases we may speak out against particular acts of neglect, violence or cruelty in order to raise awareness and generate puplic support to alleviate whatever such conditions, however in so doing it will never be our primary intent to cause harm or negative consequences for any other entity - rather to correct such conditions and bring relief from suffering in all cases.
We are eager to partner and network with any other individuals, groups or organizations which also take positive action to effect positive outcomes for animals and people in need wherever they exist.
